The Tall Ships Races 2013
with Polskie LNG

The Tall Ships Races is an important event for sailors, coastal cities and regions. This year's final was organised in Szczecin, second time after a six-year long break, and it was this summer's biggest event at the Baltic coast. 
​Do Szczecina przypłynęło 91 jednostek z 16 krajów (około 3000 żeglarzy reprezentujących 36 narodowości).

The official opening took place on Saturday in the presence of Bronisław Komorowski, the President of the Republic of Poland who took honorary patronage of the final of the TSR. However, these were not only the tall ships that made the final of the regatta, but also many other cultural and entertainment events. Concerts, workshops and activities for children, picnics, fairs and sports competitions were also organised.

A record number of 2.5 million people took part in the event. Polskie LNG participated in the final of the Tall Ship Races as the “Port Partner” – a title which is awarded only to companies without which the event would have been impossible to organise.

Apart from supporting the regatta, Polskie LNG also contributed to establishing of the ECO zone – a place combining education and fun for children and adults alike. A multimedia presentation of photos from the “Underwater Archaeological Treasures – Świnoujście Terminal LNG” exhibition, screening of a film about the LNG Terminal and numerous meetings devoted to environmental issues also took place. The youngest visitors could participate in with interesting competitions with awards sponsored by Polskie LNG stall.
